Cuetzalan, Puebla

Picturesque town

The town is located in the Sierra Norte area, in the state of Puebla, at 980 metres over the sea level, specifically in the low zone.

Cuetzalan is one of the most important touristic centres in the state of Puebla. It has many natural attractions like caves, waterfalls and a big diversity of plants and animals, as well as an ample demonstration of different own types of architecture from the cultures that have dominated the region.

The history of the Sierra Norte towns has been marked, since prehispanic times, by the constant invasions and conquests of other peoples and nations.
