Tijuana, Baja California

The most active border in the world

Tijuana was founded on 1889, and according to some historians its name comes from the indigenous word "Ticuan". Nevertheless, also is thought that it is a decomposition of the name "Tía Juana", a pioneering farm of this zone.

The geographic location of the city and the ample work unfolded by their inhabitants, most of them from other places of Mexico, have conferred it a preponderant place in the national and international scope.

Not in vain it is known as the most visited city in the world, standing out by its tourist, industrial, commercial and services development.

Tijuana's main attractions are: The Tijuana Cultural Center, the Avenida Revolución (purchase of handcrafts and places for entertainment), the House of the Culture, the Morelos State Park, the Fronton Jai-Alai, the Monumental Bullring and Toreo de Tijuana.
